Exemption Codes Encourage Consistency
Exemption codes provide information managers with a set of rules to govern the effective management of information.  Where it is not appropriate to disclose information exemption codes can be presented to Information Requestors to explain why information has had to be redacted from the original document. 

Compliance with the Law
The e-Redact Solution is constantly updated with new exemption codes as and when they become law.  We worry about Information Act legislation and update e-Redact accordingly meaning that the e-Redact user base is always 100% compliant with the law.

Complete Auditability
Exemption codes become invaluable from an audit perspective when comparing the Redacted Copy and Audit Copy documents in a legal environment.

The redacted information can still be viewed in the  Audit Copy file and the exemption codes provide clear guidance as to the reason for non-disclosure of information.

All e-Redact output is BIP:0008 compliant which means it is fully admissible in a court of law.
